TELL US ABOUT THE VENUE

We will be celebrating our wedding at

Château de la Valouze, a charming castle surrounded by a lush forest, and with accommodations for up to 96 guests. The Château is within walking distance to the nearby village of la Roche-Chalais, 30 minutes from the world famous Saint-Émilion winery, and 45 minutes from Bordeaux, France. One of our favorite features of the Château is the jazz bar in the basement, so come ready to dance and if you are feeling brave, even a little karaoke. Don't forget to pack your swimsuit, in case the weather is nice, to take a dip in the backyard pool. Angelo also requests that every guest bring a fresh, well-groomed and debonair wig for the festivities.

ARE CHILDREN WELCOME?

Yes, children are welcome! We will have all 8 of ours at the wedding as well. However, because bedrooms at the Château are limited, please contact us ahead of time and tell us your plans to bring children so we can make sure there is enough space if additional rooms are required.

WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?

Weather is typically very temperate in the beginning of June, with highs in the low 70's and lows in the low 50's.

WHAT IS THE COST FOR STAYING AT THE CHÂTEAU?

There is no cost for you for your stay at the Château. We are incredibly grateful for the effort you are making to join us in our celebration, and it is our pleasure to host your stay at the Château.

IS THERE AN ITINERARY FOR THE WEDDING?

Yes, there is a lot happening during your stay and you won't want to miss any of it. Check in at the Château at 3pm on the 3rd and we recommend you arriving at that time. Reception for the evening begins promptly at 5pm, so arrive with enough time for you to freshen up before the evening events. Once you arrive at the Château we will have events planned from 5pm on the 3rd until we shut the party down late on the evening of the 4th. Check out at the Château is 10am on the morning of the 5th.

WHAT SHOULD I PACK?

During your stay with us you will need one formal outfit for the wedding along with one semi-formal outfit for an additional party. Pack a swimsuit for the pool, a comfortable outfit for a wine tour, and Pickleball gear if you will be joining the Pickleball competition.
